Learn the basics of bread with one of Gippsland's finest chefs
Lewis Prince is one of Gippsland's most celebrated chefs. The inaugural executive chef, and later owner, of much lauded Traralgon fine-dining venue Neilson’s, Lewis helped guide the team to become the Latrobe Valley's first restaurant awarded a chef's hat in The Age Good Food Guide. The guide described Lewis as as a "magic chef" and "on the top of his game.
More recently Lewis established uber popular modern Asian / Tapas bar and dining room Little Prince Eating House in 2014. Frequently garnering reviews like “Pinch yourself for the reminder that this is Traralgon”.
Lewis is returning with one of our most popularly requested topics, Bread! In this hands on class Lewis will lead you through the art of working with all kinds of bread doughs including a versatile Turkish flat bread, traditional sourdough using his 45 year old culture ‘Jasper’ as well as Chinese steam buns, a popular dish and Little Prince.
As an extra special bonus, each participant will get to take home their own sourdough starter.
