The Bunyip Beekeper grew their business from a backyard hobby. Known for sharing homegrown honey, helping locals remove swarms and extracting unwanted nests from friends trees and sheds the Bunyip locals would fondly refer to founder William as ‘ The Bunyip Beekeeper’. When it came to choosing a business name, the nickname had already stuck.

The Bunyip Beekeper has now grown into a multifaceted bee centred business that offers everything from locally produced raw honey, beekeeping education, bee sales, hive rescue and maintenance, swarm removal, school programs and more. Needless to say The Bunyip Beekeeper is the perfect partner for a class all about honey.

The first part of the class will be a presentation and Q&A Session all about sustainable home beekeeping and honey production, while the second part of the class will explore some of the more interesting recipes and products you can make with your homegrown honey.

Caroline Hammond from The Bunyip Beekeeper will bring in a portable hive and answer all the questions you may have buzzing around your brain while Mich from String + Salt will prep some delicious honey inspired food, drinks and more.
