A favourite among S+S regulars, Lewis is returning with one of our most requested topics; Bread!

Prince is one of Gippsland's most celebrated chefs. The inaugural executive chef, and later now owner, of much lauded Traralgon fine-dining venue Neilson’s, Lewis helped guide the team to become Latrobe Valley's first restaurant awarded a chef's hat in The Age Good Food Guide. The guide described Lewis as as a "magic chef" and "on the top of his game.

More recently Lewis established uber popular modern Asian Tapas bar and dining room Little Prince Eating House in 2014Frequently garnering reviews like “Pinch yourself for the reminder that this is Traralgon”.

Bread is an essential part of the menu at both Neilson’s and Little Prince, and all of the breads served are made fresh in house.

In this hands on class Lewis will lead you through the art of working with four very different bread doughs:  Springy Chinese steam buns, featherlight handmade brioche rolls for sliders,  a versatile Turkish flat bread and his rustic crusty sourdough using a 45 year old sourdough starter culture ‘Jasper’

Lewis will take each style of bread and show you how to turn it into a meal.

As an extra special bonus, each participant will get to take home their own sourdough starter.
