Don your aprons, roll up your sleeves…started fermenting.
We are so are delighted to have Georgina from Real Bread by George coming along to to give you a kick starter on your Sourdough adventures.
Georgie has spent years mastering the nuances of sourdough: real bread. "Bread with a crust that shatters and a sweet open crumb”. She bakes weekly for Stella’s Pantry and the Baw Baw Food Hub providing small batches of her artisan loaves from her home in Crossover.
In this sourdough 101, Georgie will guide you through making and maintaining as starter, basic kneading, shaping, slashing and baking techniques, dough fermentation and all those little tips and trips for knowing when its ‘ready’.
Don your aprons, roll up your sleeves and enjoy a glass of wine as we coax flour, water and salt into something magical.
This class will include a ploughman style grazing table to accompany your handmade loaves and a ‘starter starter kit’ so you can go forth and bake at home.
