Born into a Chinese Malay family in Ipoh, Malaysia, Cindy grew up helping her mother, a trained chef, in her many restaurant kitchens. Cindy inherited her mother’s passion for food and she loves nothing more than exploring the art of cooking through improvisation, experimentation and, of course, sharing with family and friends.
Renowned for her delicious Malay cuisine, in this class time, you’ll get to explore Cindy’s Chinese heritage through the art of the dumpling.
The class will include making Har Kow and Wonton wrappers, preparing pork and prawn fillings, shaping, cooking and serving your dumplings as well as preparing traditional soup and sauces to enjoy your dumplings with.
